Life is inherently stressful, and there are rarely shortcuts to addressing life’s more significant problems. It isn’t easy to ask for help, and many people talk themselves out of connecting with supportive resources due to feelings of unworthiness. Others may worry that their problems aren’t ‘bad enough’ to justify the investment of time or money.
A person does not need to be in crisis to benefit from speaking with a counselor, but anyone could benefit from an opportunity to process one’s thoughts, feelings, and experiences with a professional.
If you have ever been interested to learn more about your own processes in a confidential setting, or if you have ever wanted to improve your ability to identify and describe your thoughts & feelings, you may benefit from speaking with a therapist. Perhaps you are interested in better managing your long list of responsibilities and stressors, or perhaps you want to eliminate any unhealthy coping mechanisms. Ultimately, life is about growth, and oftentimes it helps to have a sounding board to reflect on our growing process.
“Into each life some rain must fall.”
— Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, The Rainy Day
Working with Zachary
I have 7 years of experience working with individuals who live with persistent or severe mental illness, as well as individuals struggling with substance use or cooccurring disorders. I have worked with hundreds of clients across a myriad of industries.
If you decide to work with me, I will do my best to listen and understand, and to question with curiosity and without judgment. I will provide resources and insight where I am able, and we will work together to address the areas that are most important to you.
Lastly, in the event that I am not able to assist you myself, I will ensure that you have a referral to a setting that is an appropriate level-of-care for your concerns.
